It’s common that entrepreneurs get excited about a new idea for a business but often struggle to find a good name for their new company. This happened to us and we set a deadline so the name decision wouldn’t delay us any further. We found a name and started using it, but we felt that the name was too complicated and changed the name of our business a year later.
It can often be inspiring to hear how others solved their problems and here are interesting stories about the origin of 17 famous company names.
Did you know that the Häagen-Dazs name was invented to sound Danish, although it has no meaning in the Danish language (and the Danish language doesn’t even have the “ä” umlaut character).
